Located in Lexington’s Historical district Akame Nigiri and Sake offers an un-traditional Omakase experience. Akame Nigiri and Sake will be offering a 15 Course Omakase for $180 per person. The Omakase focuses on Japanese Seafood flown in directly from Toyosu fish market. While seated at our 6 seat Omakase Bar, guest will be able to enjoy a semi-private Omakase experience skillfully crafted by Chef Michael Monaco. Season to Taste is hard to get into so we took an early reservation sitting at the bar. The bartenders were great – greeted us right away, brought drinks, and served the meal as well as waiter would. We shared ceviche to start which came with nice Tostones and a good size ramekin of fish. Everything blended really well – onions, lemon juice, fish, and cilantro. My wife had a halibut dish that she really liked. I had the braised cabbage and saffron rice, which was tasty, rich, and plenty big. No dessert for us, but will be happy to come back for another dinner…

Fantastic wait service— delicious menu! Quite an elegant ambience— perfect restaurant for a date night. However, they do offer fair for children in case you wanted to bring the family. I went for lunch, but will definitely come back for dinner on a special occasion.

Food was absolutely amazing as usual. Everything came out super quick too. We devoured everything so hard we lost track of time, and were fighting for space in the hot plate like a bunch of goblins. Server wasn't particularly attentive as he didn't come to our table at all after placing our order, even when cashing out. Also, we never received our shrimp order but to be honest we didn't notice until the end due to the chaos and already massive amount of food on the table. Would recommend, get the group combos.
