The newest addition to the Restaurant Collection at SIMON Roosevelt Field mall, Nomiya — which translates to ‘saloon’ — stands as the area’s first izakaya. Inspired by the Japanese philosophy of minimalism, the interior of Nomiya is split between a hickory-accented bar and windowed dining room framed by black granite walls. Guests can pair their meal with one of the eleven premium bottles of sake listed on the menu, such as the unfiltered, cream-colored Yuki Tora Snow Tiger nigori or bright, effervescent Uka Junmai Daiginjo; or opt for a refreshing cocktail made with soju – the national drink of Korea which is commonly distilled from potato.     Our favorite restaurant! We always choose the Brazilian Rodizio. Waiters come around with meat -mostly different types of steak- on skewers. Theycut a slice for youat your place. Service is excellent. Our waiter Antonio was amazing. The food is delicious and the waiters continually come to the table. Our party of 8 loved it here.This was our third time and we love it here

    Spuntino is always a great go to place for a relaxed, reasonably priced meal. Readers should always keep in mind that I give a nearly perfect rating, but that is because it is excellent at it’s niche, but is not competing with some of the more expensive restaurants that I may rate lower because the expectation would be greater. Nevertheless, when my brother was in town, or I need a place to take my fiance, Spuntino is always a consideration. The laid back ambiance, stress free, relaxing service, and excellent food are great for any occasion. The wine list is especially well curated and a reasonable price. No regrets the next morning when you see the dinner receipt, either!
