Seating for the alfresco experience is available on a first-come, first-served basis, with the exception of larger parties of 7 or more which may be made by calling 860.767.1776. The Inn boasts a wine list consistently recognized by Wine Spectator with the prestigious Award of Excellence; Food & Wine and Travel + Leisure have recently recognized the Inn's restaurant as "Connecticut's coziest" and it is included in Patricia Schulz's "1000 Places to See Before You Die". The Wine Bar at The Griswold Inn is an extraordinary space in which to enjoy a delicious experience in every respect.     Long wait time before getting server to the table.. Food was delicious. However my grown daughter got her meal , soup and salad 45 min before the other 4 people were served.. In the old days this was not acceptable.. Anyways the band sounded great…Will return due to the ambience.. thanks

    After several wonderful visits, we brought friends to enjoy La Marea with us tonight, and, as always, they did not disappoint. The food (sea bass and fettuccine with shrimp specials for all of us) were outstanding! Equalled by the always attentive, personable and knowledgable server who makes us feel so at home and taken care of, Karen. All of the staff was right there to take care of everything at just the right time. Nino's visit to the table later in the evening to check on our experience capped off a truly special night. Thank you to everyone at La Marea for another great evening, cementing why this restaurant is our go-to for a special evening out. :)

    The restaurant is very nice inside with a rustic comfortable dining room and bar area. We were there for the special Valentine’s Day menu. The food was very good and well presented. Service was excellent. Would definitely return for regular lunch/dinner meal and would recommend to others.
