- RRobertWashington, D.C. Area •3 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoLocation: On Talbot Street which is the "Main" street of St. Michaels, right in the historic and entertainment district. Less than a block from the Old Brick Inn where we were staying. Service: A shout out to our server, Mr. Chance Miller. He was the most professional, knowledgeable and attentive waiter we have enjoyed in years. The hostess who greeted us and led us to our table was also warm and welcoming. Facilities: A renovated original building, a converted home, so the restaurant is laid out in many attached rooms. We were seated in the old front room which had a fireplace with a gentle open gas flame while we were there in February, We felt is had a pleasant, romantic ambiance. Value: We had delicious beef, shrimp and grits and local oysters. Most of the entrees were in the $30-45 range, on weeknights they had a dinner special that included a side and a dessert. They had great custom cocktails and an extensive wine list with reasonable prices. Pro Tip: Advance reservations are not required but we recommend making one if possible. Because we made a reservation they held a very nice table for us in a warm spot near the fire.More infoTheo's Steak, Sides & Spirits - St. Michael'sPrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• St Michaels / Tilghman Island•4.8
- LLewTahoe / Reno Area •6 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoA Hallmark evening. My wife and I have been going to Bas Rouge for a number of years to celebrate anniversaries and such and have always found it unique and special. I have long felt and proclaimed it is the best restaurant on the Eastern Shore. Frankly, I would add probably Annapolis. Last night, mid winter/midweek was especially outstanding because when we arrived a little early for our reservation it seemed no one was there. Lights on but no visible guests. When I said we're a little early but maybe it won't matter we were told we were the only guests all evening. And thus it was. the usual attention to detail and unique and hot food was ours alone. We were glad they even bothered but but hi standards being what they are we got it all to ourselves. We've sought out better places to eat all over the World. Hard to beat Bas Rouge. Summer months it will take weeks to get a reservation. Special thanks to Eric.More infoBas RougePrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary European• Easton•4.9

- CCatherineVIPWashington, D.C. Area •31 reviews5.0Dined on Jan 24, 2025While others have raved about t at The General Store, I had not eaten there in a few years and under new management and chef. Well...it lived up to what I had been told. I had shrimp and grits and outside of New Orleans, they are the best I've ever had. Tender, sweet shrimp and the sauce over the excellent grits was unlike any I have ever tasted on this dish or any other. Unique and scrumptious. My companion had the rack of lamb and loved it. The waitress was friendly and funny and never seemed stressed even though she handled many tables. She did it with aplomb. I think the decor and ambience are better than in past years, but the chairs are not comfortable, probably because they are the kind you would you use in the office break room. Strange, because the wooden tables were most attractive. That said, I can't wait to go back.More infot at The General StorePrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• St Michaels / Tilghman Island•4.8
