Went for solo dinner. Amazing. The truffle sashimi alone was worth the trip! Wagyu Surf & turf roll also great. Keep the sauce from the sashimi you’re going to want it on everything! Lychee’s Sake amazing. Finish off with the pistachio cheesecake. Loved everything.

Everything was superb. Really fun and interesting atmosphere. Live music, feels like a classic NY Italian family restaurant. Tagliatelle was fantastic as a Primo. Scungili salad was the special which was excellent. Best pork chop I’ve ever had (with potatoes and hot peppers). My wife had the shrimp and she loved it. Would recommend very highly - on par and even superior to top Italian restaurants in Manhattan and the Bronx.

Alright, buckle up, because I’m about to spill the beans on Matisse 167 in East Rutherford. This isn’t just dining—it’s a full-blown gourmet experience that hits you in the taste buds like a symphony of flavors orchestrated by food gods. From the moment we sat down, the staff was next-level exceptional, anticipating every need like they had a crystal ball. Keith, our server, was the MVP, making sure everything was flawless. Seriously, this guy must moonlight as a mind reader or something. And then there’s Greg—the chef. Oh man, this dude’s not just a chef; he’s an artist with a side of wizardry. He came out into the dining room, checking on everyone like a culinary superhero. By the time we finished our four-course Michelin-star-level meal, all I wanted to do was shake this guy’s hand and thank him for putting together a dining experience that went way beyond anything I could’ve dreamed up. Every bite was like winning the flavor lottery. Pro tip: it’s BYOB, so grab a bottle (or three) of your favorite wine and prepare to have your culinary socks knocked off. Matisse 167 isn’t just a meal—it’s an event. Five stars, two thumbs up, and a standing ovation. Go there. You’re welcome.
