He also shares the Tabard's longstanding commitment to sourcing ingredients locally. Join us for a meal on our covered patio or one of our intimate dining rooms. Or enjoy drinks and light fare in our historic fireplace lounge, where you can enjoy our creative cocktails! A social atmosphere fit for a president. Join us where vibrant cocktail culture meets fun elegance and comfort food at this Dupont Circle neighborhood favorite. It is said that while President Theodore Roosevelt loved to eat, to him the dinner table was less an occasion for fine dining than as a springboard for conversations. In keeping with this, we have created a stunning interior design for Teddy and the Bully Bar that keeps patrons talking. Reflecting Theodore Roosevelt’s love for simple American comfort food, including steaks, oysters, fried chicken and house-made cornbread, our seasonal menus feature a contemporary twist on classic comfort dishes with a focus on quality, local and simplicity. We pay special attention to sourcing from our local producers, representing President Roosevelt’s belief to “Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.” We offer an exciting happy hour, energetic bottomless brunch (Sundays), and a perfect match of social energy and food culture.

Very attentive to detail and our group had the best time. They were attentive without being overbearing. Drinks were wonderful, unique, food is more snack like and not full meal type but you really come here for drinks but the food was good. Def coming back soon!

Our waiter Michel was amazingly attentive and interpersonally a delight. We had the cinnamon roll to start and it did not disappoint. The croque madame and hamburger were outrageous and the power salad bowl with chicken was so good. Can’t say enough good things about the food and beverages. Only downside was the wait to be seated (with a reservation). Very busy on a Sunday.

The gnocchi are a creamy delight. The red snapper in a Mediterranean preparation, equally delicious. The ribs, ditto, and the halibut. All carefully prepared. Prices are reasonable. Service is friendly and attentive. And there is no rush to turn over your table. Bottom line: a very good restaurant, well worth your patronage. Enjoy.

Tabard Inn is simply the best place to go for brunch/ lunch or a romantic date night dinner on a freezing cold winter day. An English style Inn with warm fireplace in the lounge area and many tables in various nooks and crannies of the dining area. Good bar, professional service and good food. We loved it.

Griffin was so helpful and recommended wine pairings and courses for us to try. He was very knowledgeable about the wines and answered all our questions. He wrote us a personal note congratulating us on our anniversary and engagement and really made the whole night very special. The food was very tasty and well worth the price. We both left stuffed and happy! Thanks for ringing in this new chapter with us.
