Best Seasonal Restaurants in 39th St / Westport / Midtown

The bar service was great. We arrived an hour early and sat at the bar to drink and have an appetizer. Appetizers were flatbread and meatballs! Both were excellent. When we were seated our waiter was okay at best. Don’t know if he was just having an off night but we could sense he just didn’t want to be there. When we were closing the ticket out we considered having another drink and he said well it would make my night easier if you didn’t! For dinner we ordered Steak, Lamb and Lobster between 4 of us. Steak was charred and over cooked & lobster was way over cooked! The lamb was good. We weren’t told they were out of broccoli so everyone’s plates just came with green beans. We asked the waiter and he said they were out of broccoli. Even though it was a mix up, the green beans were the best part of the meals! I think this night was just an off night because normally we’ve had good service and food!

Great food!! Fresh!! Best steak and seafood by far around. Drinks are top notch! Service was polite, knowledgeable & quick. The wife and I had a great experience. And to top it off she was delivered a long stemmed rose at the end of the meal!

This was our first time at Lazia. Everything was perfection. Our server, Cheyanne, was fantastic. She was attentive and knowledgeable. We ordered focaccia bread and the wedge first. Both items - the best we’ve ever tasted. For our entree, we ordered the ribeye and potatoes. Also delicious. The atmosphere was amazing. The restaurant was busy (Valentines Day) but the service was super prompt and the food was hot. We had the raspberry chocolate dessert and the lemon dessert. Both fabulous. We WILL be back. Interesting that there were multiple items which they were "out of". In their defense the weather had been snowy and it was Valentines Day (though ours was a 5 pm meal). I was ok ordering my 2nd choice, but our neighboring table (tables are quite close so conversations are unavoidably overheard) was very unhappy. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and our attentive and capable server Maggie. We will return.

The food was delicious as always. This has become our “go to” restaurant when we want to have a great meal with excellent service.
