Established in 1959, owners Jenny Youll and Mike Sabina expanded the once small coffeehouse of St. Michaels Alley into this intimate dining establishment in 2009. The restaurant provides three comfortable spaces for a dinner out with friends, date night, or a complete private event. The main dining room is wood paneled and intimate. We got a seat at the bar ordered cocktails and small dishes. Everything was uniformly excellent. The barkeeper was knowledgeable and made a beautifully balanced Manhattan. The small dishes recommonded were all tasty and of high quality. Overall the only reason to dock a star is that Nobu is expensive (big surprise). But if you are not cost sensitive, then this is an excellent place for high quality drinks and light dishes. Recommended.

Beautiful environment, our steaks were delicious, seasoned and cooked to perfection ! The lamb kebabs were the best we’ve had in a long time …..Miguel our waiter was very attentive, he even offered to decant our bottle of wine that we brought. I would highly recommend this restaurant, It’s quite special !!!
