- CCindyVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •3 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoWe very much enjoyed our dining experience at Restaurant Gish and the special holiday menu from beginning to end! Each dish was creative, delicious, and well presented. We sat at the counter and really enjoyed watching the chefs create and plate each dish, and describe them to us. Some dishes such as the consommé and salad ssam were delicate with wonderful finesse. The scallop curdo was inventive and well put together, so yummy. The beef tartare with truffle and Asian touches was outstanding and a unique combination. The larger or heavier dishes such as the entrees (lamb, lobster tail) were substantive and satisfying. The meal ended on a beautiful note with the pear sorbet with added house made pine honey crunch. Service was friendly and attentive. The restaurant felt lively yet cozy and welcoming. We recommend!More infoRestaurant GishPrice: Very Expensive• Korean• Santa Clara•4.9
- RRobertaVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •88 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 27, 2024Cascal continues to be a top notch lunch or dinner spot. The Spanish food is lively and profusely diffuse. While the prices have inched up,so it has in the other fine restaurants in Silicon Valley. I will return!More infoCascalPrice: Moderate• Tapas / Small Plates• Mountain View•4.7
- MMicheleSan Francisco Bay Area •1 review5.0Dined on Dec 26, 2024I was in town visiting family for Christmas, all Assyrian immigrants from Iraq, who are very discerning when it comes to "good food." I've not been here in over 10yr, but it has always been my favorite restaurant. I brought the entire family for lunch on 12/26/24. Carlos was our waiter. We had a table of 14 that included three children under 4yr and three teenagers (who asked for I don't know how many refills). I know; we were a lot. The food was not only exceptional, it came out hot, and it came out quickly. Very impressive. I heard at least 4-5 relatives comment on the hummus being "next level," and let me tell you, that is a HUGE compliment from a family of amazing chefs. Carlos was just a wonderful, effcient, and patient server. I waited tables at the Crow's Nest when I was earning my teaching credential, so I know how hard serving a large (loud, needy) party can be, and he never missed a mark. (I hope you use him to train all your new servers).More infoDishdash SunnyvalePrice: Moderate• Middle Eastern• Sunnyvale•4.9
- JJohnSan Francisco Bay Area •2 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 26, 2024Quiet, small, and intimate spot for GREAT sushi and omakase dinner (especially with the optional uni tasting). We’ve been to a good number of places like this in the Bay Area, but this will be a new regular spot for us. Fish was super fresh and simple preparation of the sushi made the taste that much better! Highly recommend you try this place if you like this style of food!More infoSushi JinPrice: Very Expensive• Sushi• Mountain View•4.8
