Best Restaurants for Special Occasions in East Greenwich

Four of us came for our reservation. We had Travis as a waiter. We never bother writing reviews, but Travis was such a lovely, welcoming server that we felt compelled to write him a great review. Highly recommend this restaurant and our server, Travis. He was excellent! Keep him here I!

Meritage is one of those rare restaurants that gets it right every single time. Over the years, the food quality has been consistently excellent, as has the service. They certainly know how to cook a filet mignon and their drinks are outstanding. All the time. The service staff is excellent. All the time. I always recommend this restaurant.

First time there for brunch. Upon walking in I knew we were in the right place by how busy it was. The rock crab and lobster Benedict’s were fabulous!! Our server Brian was efficient and attentive and friendly. Can’t wait to go back.

Every bite of our meals was terrific from the house made mozzarella with mortadella to the beef carpaccio apps, to the main courses of the swordfish special, salmon and grilled octopus! Tim was an attentive, efficient and friendly server. I was a little skeptical about the table we were offered which was up front near the bar, but the maiter‘d assured me it would be comfortable and he was right! Just an all round great experience!

First time here. Oysters were great! All the tapas dishes we had were prepared beautifully and most importantly, delicious!! We loved everything we had. We tried the octopus, pork belly, roasted dates and tomato bread. Anastasia was our server and so very pleasant. She made us feel right at home, she made THE BEST dirty martini I have had all year. We'll be back sooner than later!
