Best Restaurants for Special Occasions in Lowell

The salads are exceptionally delicious. We had short ribs and they were moist, tender served over parmesan cheese risotto. Excellent meal with great atmosphere.

We were seated by the window, hoping for a warm and cozy meal on a cold winter evening. Unfortunately, the large windows were very drafty, and we had to keep our coats on the whole time. The cold air was so noticeable that the short curtains were moving. It wasn’t just us—everyone sitting near the windows was bundled up in jackets and scarves, trying to stay warm while eating. The food and service might have been nice, but it was hard to enjoy with the constant chill. Hopefully, the restaurant fixes this because it has the potential to be a great, cozy spot.

Tavern is always great! I have never had a bad meal or experience at any of their locations!

Delicious!! Tight quarters with the tables but that’s every North end restaurant. Delicious food and drinks but they don’t serve desert. Need to go to their bakery next door but given it was Christmas Eve Eve, there were lines out of every bakery door!! Good service and not bad prices. They have valet ($30) but didn’t realize and my husband dropped us off and parked in the lot down the street. They won’t seat you until your full party is together. Overall would definitely recommend.
