- SSARA JNew York City •1 review5.0Dined todayOne of our favorite dining spots. The small side room was a bit loud for our taste but the food and general ambiance can’t be beat!More infoVine Street CafePrice: Very Expensive• American• Shelter Island•4.7
- CCarol KoschekavipSouth Carolina •32 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoWe recently dined at the Halyard and enjoyed our meal so much we returned several more times. The food is amazing. Our starters were the Whipped Ricotta, Fried Calamari and Crab Cakes. Every one of the starters were so delicious and the perfect amount of food to begin your meal. Our main courses ranged from Scallops, Chicken to the Lobster Pappardelle. The chef is absolutely amazing with how he creates each dish with their delicious flavors.( We added on the french fries and broccoli rabe which were also delicious.) We ended our meal with some fabulous desserts. We tried the Banana Toffee Sundae, Apple Cider Donuts and the Espresso Creme Brûlée. Each one of the desserts were tasty. Sharing all of these gave us a variety of tastes. We loved them all. I would definitely recommend trying a variety of meals and sharing. The other bonus is the wine selection. Bill will suggest a great wine to pair with your meal . His knowledge of wines is a wonderful addition to the restaurant and all they offer at the Halyard.More infoThe Halyard Restaurant at Sound ViewPrice: Expensive• American• Greenport•4.5
- OTOpenTable DinerNew York State •1 review4.0Dined 2 days agoWonderful food, attentive service, but very noisy. Cries out for a carpet or any sound abatement that might allow conversation at a table for 2 to4. Miss the old original Gurney’s corny Italian rococo decor that was a relief from the now ubiquitous “ zen”running to “ Amish “ look of un inviting plain colorless Uber simple gray fixtures. Looks as if it was decorated by Monks who have taken a vow of poverty. Art work is all black, gray and during late fall no view of gorgeous ocean after early sunset. No music either but the noise would drown it out anyway. Very pricey for teensy portions.More infoScarpetta BeachPrice: Very Expensive• Italian• Montauk•4.4
