Best Restaurants for Special Occasions in North Natomas

The food was hot and tasty. The dining room ambiance was very chill on the cloudy yet warm December afternoon. The server was out of this world, friendly and attentive! We’ll be back

The Grange is my go to breakfast/brunch experience in Downtown Sacramento for a few reasons. First, although the prices at the Grange trend a bit higher than the typical breakfast/brunch spots in the area the short wait times and great service completely make up for the higher prices. Second, their two egg breakfast, french toast, and pancakes are consistently good. I can expect a great meal every time. They used to have incredible biscuits but they don’t seem to appear on the menu anymore. Hopefully, these biscuits make a return. In the meantime I’ll have to settle for an English muffin. Third, the service is fantastic. This is the area that sets this restaurant apart from most other locations. The servers here seem to pay more attention than at other locations. They check in from time to time but don’t hover. I never feel rushed here.

Great experience from the beginning to the end. Hostess sat us promptly. Manager Matt greeted us at the table and which really set the mood for our entire dining experience. Our server, Zach was celebrating his own birthday and had great knowledge of the menu. He provided excellent service and had a great sense of humor. This may be one of our new favorite spots!

We stayed at the Kimpton Sawyer nearby on Christmas Eve and had our dog w us. Polanco was one of the few restaurants that was both dog friendly and open that evening. Although they closed early (understandably) we were able to get 5:00pm reservations and sat outside in their covered area with outside heaters and we were completely comfortable. Although we were the only outside diners, they provided excellent service. The food is truly exceptional too. We’ve eaten they before and every time we were all very happy with our meal choices. OpenTable enabled us to secure the reservation (somewhat last minute) so we were had no worries for our Christmas Eve dinner plans.

The food and service at the Firehouse is consistently above average, way above average. The ambience in the main dining room is perfect for us, with music that is pleasant. Most restaurants play music so loud that you either don’t go back, or you run away from. At the Firehouse you can actually carry on a conversation. The food was excellent, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The wait staff is very attentive. We look forward to dining at the Firehouse again and again. Thank you Firehouse for being so reliable.
