- AAndrewVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •9 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoWonderful experience. Our waiter, Sara, was super attentive, fun, and creative with suggestions. Thank you also to Tony, our diligent bus man, and Erick, the amazing bartender, for leveling up our experience. Of course it wouldn’t have been a true dining experience without the unique talents of Chef Johnny and owner Josiah Citrin. We can’t wait to go back!More infoCharcoal VenicePrice: Expensive• American• Venice•4.7

- MMichaelLos Angeles •152 reviews4.0Dined 6 days agoI'm glad we ordered off both menus because we all preferred the selections off the regular menu. The salad with the endives was a real winner, the salad with the duck skin was lost on us. The duck bread pudding was a quirky idea that actually worked quite well on the plate. I'm glad we got to try the pressed breast because we had read a lot about this dish. The cassoulet on the side was the best cassoulet, hands down, we all have ever had. The chocolate souffle was really good but the apple tart wasn't a favorite. The service was very attentive and friendly. They have some great signature cocktails on the menu, and I liked being able to order a glass of a good Bordeaux. If we went back, we all agreed we would order off the regular menu. The endive salad for an appetizer and ask if they could make the cassoulet as a main course. (and of course pair it with a glass of that great Saint-Estephe)More infopasjoliPrice: Very Expensive• French• Santa Monica•4.6
- DDavidVIPLos Angeles •22 reviews5.0Dined on Jan 1, 2025New Years Day and we wanted some place that we knew would be fantastic, so where else but Gjelina? It was busy but the hosts and servers were unfailingly polite. We ordered 6 things from the menu. My wife's vegan so she had the vegetable sandwich (she had to fight me for it, it was so good). Brussel sprouts, grilled fennel, and the frites were all great. My son and I split the anchovy and burrata toast - a first for me - and it's my new favorite. Finished with the excellent pomodoro pizza - no cheese and none needed, because the jammy tomato confit is the star of the dish. I love this place. It never lets me down. Happy 2025!More infoGjelinaPrice: Expensive• American• Venice•4.7
