Best Sunday Lunch Restaurants in Chinatown

I love Hawksmoor. I've always loved the London locations, and was at the New York one when it first opened. I've been back to Hawksmoor 4 times since then and always had a good meal including last night. I'm taking one star off because the welcome by the hostess was cold bordering on rude when I arrived. She was deep in a conversation with her coworker and was gesturing to her and ignoring me. When I made eye contact with her she glared and when I finally gave my name her colleague sat me at my table. That colleague and every waiter in actual restaurant were wonderful, but it is an issue when that is the first person you come into contact with. The food was excellent, Potted Beef, Bone in Striploin (perfectly cooked) mac and cheese, spinach were all excellent. Pro tip, go on Monday night and corkage fee is only $10!

Brunch at The Boathouse in Central Park was an absolute delight! Overlooking the serene Serpentine Lake, the view was nothing short of breathtaking—an oasis of calm right in the heart of the city. The impeccable service made the experience even more special, with attentive and friendly staff ensuring everything was just right. The food was delicious, perfectly complementing the elegant setting. From fresh pastries to perfectly cooked eggs and flavorful entrées, every bite was a treat. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful morning escape or a special occasion brunch, The Boathouse is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

The food is excellent. Fresh daily homemade pasta. Gem Cesar salad was shared and the portion was huge. Our waitress Jazmin was a real doll. Very attentive and extremely efficient. We went with all her recommendations. It was Valerie’s birthday and we were treated to a complimentary birthday cake dessert. Such a nice touch and all around wonderful experience. Will definitely return.

Attentive and kind staff make all the difference and that is what we experienced. The food was, of course, also delicious and amazing. Wonderful evening from beginning to end!
