Best Vegan Restaurants in Oostelijk Havengebied (Eastern docklands)

We chose to eat here due to our child having several food allergies. It was Christmas-they were slammed -however the server was AMAZING AND the food was great for the kids!

We were in Amsterdam for Christmas and by coincidence, so were our son and daughter-in-law! Totally uncoordinated! We chose Day's StoneGrill for our Christmas dinner. We arrived about 30 minutes before our reservation. This was no problem and we were seated immediately. Our server was very attentive and had no problem accommodating 'substitutions' for the 'set' menu. The food was excellent and the experience of 'grilling' our entree was new and fun (some reviews state that they were put off by having to prepare their own meat--" We had to work"). Sorry, but that was one of the benefits of this arrangement--prepare as you prefer. This experience and meal was out of the ordinary and VERY pleasing! Wish we had something like this in our town in the USA.

Food, service and atmosohere were all great. Quantity and quality of the rijsttafel both excellent. We were disappointed by the desserts, however. They were tiny and not that tasty.

Terribly slow service for two people, one being a 4 year old and we didn’t feel prioritized at all. We sat down at 6, ordered bread and one main course. They waited a half hour and until the bread was completely gone to come over and ask “can we start your main” … like what have you been doing this whole time?! took 45 minutes to get our steak form the time we ordered… wild! Staff was kind but oblivious
