- EElizabethVIPGreater Boston •22 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoThe food was outstanding, and I would highly recommend it. Our server recommended the popcorn shrimp to start, and the spices and sauce were out of this world. Ditto for the cauliflower. We then got an Asian crunch salad with chicken to share (and without asking, the waiter split it in two - very sweet) and an order of garlic-oiled bread. Overall, we couldn't have been more pleased with the meal. Our waiter was just the right amount of solicitous. Our only negative was the noise - it is a bar-type place so not surprising and don't hold it against them but if was warmer, next time we will eat outdoors to have less noise.More infoCulinary Dropout WaterfrontPrice: Moderate• American• Old Town Scottsdale•4.6

- CCurtisVIPLos Angeles •29 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoOur meal was an excellent fusion of Asian and Mexican cuisines. They suggested approaching with a shared plate experience, and that was the right way to go. Everything we had - sushi rolls, salmon and toro nigiri, guac with pomegranate (like my great aunts from Mexico used to make!), rainbow ceviche, seafood paella, and street corn - was fresh, tasty, and well-presented. The creative flavor combinations made for delightful discoveries on the menu. It's a bit pricey, but we felt it was worth it. The attentive and prompt service was excellent.More infoSumoMaya Mexican-Asian KitchenPrice: Expensive• Mexican• Central Scottsdale•4.7

- OTOpenTable DinerIowa •1 review5.0Dined 7 days agoDining at Cafe Monarch is similar to enjoying a wonderful performance. It reminds me of restaurants in Europe, where the waitstaff take their career seriously and see you, as the dining guest, as special, not just a number to be herded through as quickly as possible. During our 3 hour dining experience, we enjoyed the 8 course menu, which was excellent. My companion had the vegetarian, while I had the standard menu. Both were excellent with us truly enjoying 7/8 dishes. The waitstaff are extremely attentive but not disruptive and make the whole experience enjoyable. While it is very expensive for 8 small courses, we both left satisfied. Given that it was a 3 hour experience, I would consider it more than just "dinner" and just that, an experience.
