Best Vegan Restaurants in Asheville

Our experience overall was a great one! It was a busy night and we were seated by the restrooms and the kitchen which made us a little uncomfortable, they were understanding and got us another table which was much better! The service was brilliant. It was easy to see that everyone who worked there, thoroughly enjoyed their work which makes the entire experience that much more enjoyable for the diners. Rob recommended the perfect wine pairings, he understood exactly what we were looking for! We had the bread basket, beef carpaccio, the 8oz steak with salsa verde and the bucatini carbonara. The butter in the bread basket was brilliant, we couldn’t get enough! (If they bottle it and sell it, we will buy it). And the steak salsa verde left such a great taste in my mouth, I didn’t want to sully it with anything else. The carbonara while good was a little too heavy for our liking. Maybe a smaller portion of something that heavy would go down better.  We then finished the meal with the tiramisu which was just right. We will definitely go back to try more!

We enjoy Modesto every time we go! The intimate dining room is always filled with laughter and delicious smells. My husband loves the Old Fashioned here, and it’s one of the few we’ve found in Asheville that’s made perfectly. The Prosecco was not too sweet and was pleasantly dry. We enjoyed the crab cakes for our appetizer, as per usual, and the pickled veggies that come with it are so delicious I could eat an entire bowl. We ordered the veal chops and seafood carbonara (my personal comfort go-to). The portions are extremely generous and everything is delicious. The textures of the seafood here are always spot on! We finished off the evening with a chocolate pistachio torte that was buttery, smooth, and decadent. I wish I could remember our waitress’s name because she was STELLAR. Even though we were the latest reservation of the night, she met us with enthusiasm and kindness. She was extremely attention and I would be ecstatic to be seated in her section anywhere, any time. Cheers to another wonderful experience at one of our favorite local spots!

As usual, nothing to critique. Food, service and decor all stellar. Pork belly appetizer is a must try. The crispy, sweet and smoky flavor with pecan garnish is a symphony of flavors that play in your mouth like a finely tuned orchestra. Logan was a standout server. Neva sold us on the vanilla cheesecake which was the most beautiful presentation I have ever seen for cheesecake. This 15 year establishment is a well oiled machine. Make Posana a priority for your next foodie experience.

Food was superb! Service great. Value very good. Sat in the front of the house with a nice view of the street activity. The noise was loud, but that was due to a table of four in which the individuals spoke very loudly and the sound bounced off the window. Really not in the restaurants control. Next time we will ask to sit in a different part of the restaurant.

Great meal from a gem in Ashville. From bar service to desert this was a fine evening thanks to a great wait staff and chef. Seafood risotto was well prepared and presented with scallops and trout. Steak tartare app was fantastic. 5 stars!
