100% Plant-Based restaurant in Wicker Park. We have always had the core belief of being as good to ourselves (and the earth) as possible, but as we grow, we have always wanted to do more. With this desire, we decided to open Bloom Plant Based kitchen. Not only is eating a more plant-based diet healthier and more forgiving to one’s body, but it is significantly better for the environment. However, with healthy plant-based options not being the popular choice, we know we have stiff competition. Therefore, our intention with Bloom is to focus on bringing flavorful, healthy, and affordable plant-based food to families while also being desirable and appealing to everyone regardless of their diet.

I am visiting Chicago for a few weeks, and I have eaten at your restaurant twice. Each time I was privileged to encounter Manager Michael, and Jaafar. During these visits to the restaurant, they were both perfect representations of the RL brand! Each time they were both super attentive to me, as well as all of the RL guest. During my visits, I witnessed each of them resolve issues and exceed the expectations of each guest. Their efforts expressed concern and gratitude to each diner. On several occasions I witnessed each of them handle potential issues with grace, resolving issues and putting out the fire before it had a chance to flare up. The experienced left me felling welcomed and gave me the impression that I was important to the restaurant and brand. Often time African American customers are disregarded or spoke down to by restaurant staff. During my visit each of them witnessed this mistreatment by customers or other staff and immediately did their part to correct the wrong and to ensure I had an excellent experience….and that I did! They both did their part to ensure that I had wonderful time. Each time I visited,I left with a smile on my face. It’s my belief that God gives some people the gift of kindness and generosity and I believe both of them have that gift and I would like to humbly thank them for being considerate, kind and generous, and for making my experience wonderful! Life is short and kindness is important and I believe in my heart that they both understand that, and know how to treat others. RL, Thank you for having them both on your staff and for allowing them to bless others with their presence! Meeting them was the highlight of my visit to CHICAGO.

Beautiful light coming in the large windows that face south. Was not too busy for Saturday brunch (maybe because it was Thanksgiving weekend), and the service was excellent. We both had the breakfast sandwich and added bacon and avocado. It was really delicious. Mine came with a kale salad that was surprisingly good and my daughter had the fruit which was very fresh. Also had the monkey bread which was a small portion - perfect since we were already stuffed.

Great environment and staff. Quality and freshness of food is fantastic. The environment and menu is great for an elevated relaxing brunch. The brunch menu is in keeping with the Mediterranean theme, but offers a wide variety of options for dietary preferences. The staff took great care to handle food allergies and label servings in an obvious manner. Looking forward to a second visit.

Not my first time at Le Colonial but my first review. Relaxed ambiance with a Vietnamese theme. We were courteously seated and served, the service is as expected from a high-end dining experience. However, the food was the star of our dining experience. The mocktail lyche iced tea was 2 of 5 stars, probably wouldn’t order again. The chicken dumplings were amazing 10/10! Very flavorful accompanied by an equally tasty sauce. A definite must try. My first time trying pho which was delicious another 10/10. Crisp yet comforting broth flavors, perfect for the cold Chicago night. The crispy shrimp and pork rolls were also very good 8/10. For entrees, their specialty fried rice was excellent 10/10. The shaking beef was another favorite must try 10/10. Roasted salmon and chicken curry were good but not on par with our other menu choices, 6/10.

The best vegan food ever. We did the counter experience which allowed us to do a 6 course tasting and watch the dishes come out of the kitchen. The chef was friendly and answered all our questions. The food is creative but accessible. Every dish had a subtle spice due to the Colombian & Venezuelan influences of the owner and chef. The house made gnocchi is superb & the vegan sashimi was my favorite appetizer. I would eat everything on the menu. Dessert was fantastic also.
