I am not sure this experience could be replicated. The effort, prep and care put into any dish is astounding. The flavor profiles and the dedication to authenticity of the Japanese recipes is unmatched. One could argue that a $100 plant-based tasting menu is steep, but the labor, creativity, education, and showmanship support a much higher price tag. I am not local but will find a way to come back quarterly as that’s how often the menu has changed. My only (extremely minor) complaint is that the service is a bit rigid. Since it is a group dining experience, everyone must arrive before anyone is seated. It is also not as hands on as one would anticipate for a fine dining restaurant (water refills, etc) but I was so distracted by the amazing work by the chefs that it was barely noticed. Please support this amazing restaurant - vegan food is so delicious and this artistry deserves to be rewarded!

This was our first time at this new location. We had been to their other location several times and always had a great experience. The new digs are great, the only negative is that the dining room was a bit bright (at night). I feel like a few dimmers or maybe painting the wall or ceiling in a darker color could make all the difference. The food was delicious, as usual. My BF had the Coq au Vin and loved the red wine sauce. I had the mustard duck (forgot the French name) and it was really good too. We were a little underwhelmed by the service tbh though. It was my bf’s birthday and I asked for a candle (or writing) to be put on his dessert, but they forgot. Also, the host was wearing a suit and another waitress was wearing a suit but our waiter was wearing a t shirt and sneakers. It sort of broke the charming little aesthetic they had going on. Overall, it was very good and I’m sure we’ll come back.
