Our pan-Asian menu gathers influences of cooking styles from all around Asia; including Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, China, Indonesia and Vietnam. Decided to try The Ship as it has recently reopened in the village. My mum and I were pleasantly surprised by the standard and quality of the food compared to the price. We booked a table for 6pm on the Friday between Christmas & New Year. Understandably it was relatively quiet with only another couple of tables occupied but it had a good atmosphere and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. What a great eating place in a small village. As a family we wish them every success and we will definitely be back.

We decided to have , snack food rather than a main meals, it was delicious, we had BBQ Ribs, , Dumplings, spring rolls and salt and chilli chips. The service was fantastic and the waiter and waitress were very attentive. Would highly recommend.

Christmas Eve meal for 5 foodie adults.Perfection from the moment we walked in to a young guy who checked us in,really friendly and warm,but efficient too.Food on point.5 clean plates for each course.Our waiter made us relaxed,he had the right amount of professionalism/cheeky banter.Christmas began on the right foot at The Cartford once again

Me and my partner went for our 2 years. And as a chef myself I was very pleased with everything. The Steaks were cooked perfectly. It was the best chocolate milkshake I have had, too. The Decore was to my liking, too. I will definitely be coming again and recommending.
