The layout had a number of floors with small dining rooms on each. The ambiance was cozy - roaring fires, natural holiday decorations, soft lighting. The noise level was moderate - conversations happened easily at normal talking volume. The wine list was extensive, while the beer offerings were lackluster. The menu focuses on New England cuisine with many heavy, warming dishes. We visited during December, so it’s possible they have a different seasonal menu for the warmer months. Our server was attentive, but not annoying.More infoWhite Horse TavernPrice: Expensive• American• Newport•4.8

We split the octopus appetizer, to die for on a bed of homemade hummus. Cocktails were perfect too!!More infoPlum Pt. BistroPrice: Moderate• American• North Kingstown•4.7

- MMichaelaSan Francisco Bay Area •1 review5.0Dined on Dec 1, 2024I took my boyfriend here for his 26th birthday dinner, with no regrets. Both of us deeply enjoyed the attentive service by Nick and the rest of the servers. Our food was delicious, inventive, seasonal, and fresh. A word of recommendation- definitely go for the halibut over the duck. Both were great, but the halibut was absolutely divine. We made the mistake of eating all of our bread before the tortellini arrived at our table. They graciously gave us another loaf to enjoy the full dish experience. (If at all possible, my boyfriend would greatly appreciate any help in recreating that sourdough.) Overall, a fabulous dining experience in a beautiful setting that has given us a memory we will cherish for the rest of our lives.More infoAurelia at Castle HillPrice: Very Expensive• Farm-to-table• Newport•4.9
