Our Team is excited to welcome you to The Shed Restaurant. Reservations are essential via the above booking portal. Credit card details are required at the time of booking for large groups however no funds are taken prior to your reservation. A $40 no-show fee is charged only without sufficient notice period of 12hrs. Whilst we love them, we cannot accomodate bookings for pets. Bookings of 2 - 7 can enjoy our a la carte menu offering.Bookings of 8+ adult guests are required to dine on our Feasting Menu $84pp. Our Chefs cater to all preferences and dietary requirements wherever possible, please alert your waitstaff on arrival. Note for all tables confirmed on an a la carte basis will unusually receive longer than normal service times.Please include Children in your total number of guests when making a booking and leave a note for the restaurant when completing your reservation. Breakfast & global dishes made with local produce, plus small-batch coffee, served in a cosy cafe.Overlooking the Rosebud foreshore, Hobson combines art deco charm with the sleek, contemporary style of a modern cafe. The latter may evoke a sense of familiarity among weekenders visiting from Melbourne, but it’s also a solid hint at the pedigree behind this place.The Only Hospitality Group (Bentwood, Stanley and Hotel Collingwood) took over and refreshed the site at the end of 2021, retaining the textured curves and decorative fluting on the building’s historic facade.Inside is bright and airy with polished concrete and soft timbers throughout. The space seats 120 comfortably between two expansive dining rooms, with curb-side picnic tables shaded by beach umbrellas setting the scene outside.

    The venue is good. The atmosphere good although it got very noisy in the bistro around 6.30. The meals were excellent and good value ( seniors meals). The advertised 'happy hour' drinks were only available from the sports bar where unfortunately the service was off hand and unwelcoming. The HH was only certain drinks so paid full price for 2 small bottles of presecco ($12 each) which were plonked on the bar with caps off and not offered any glasses, so back to the bistro for this.

    What a phenomenal fine dining experience. The service was so patient and memorable, and my goodness, to have a restaurant that has a whole plant based menu that isn’t two items is incredible. Everything on there was sensational. You must try the house made olives they are something else!! So glad to have discovered this gem.

    Tasty, cheap, quick and friendly service - what's not to like on a hot Sat night. Even better, the array of gluten-free selections was a treat for my wife
