I got a voucher for a bottomless brunch for my birthday and went with my husband ee had a really good time the food was lovely and the drinks kept flowing the server was amazing and as soon as we had a couple of sips she was there asking what we wanted next. We had an amazing time .

Met up there for a girlie catch up - stunning location, fire burning on arrival, great menu selection for all dietary needs and fantastic service ……. We are booking again to stay overnight in the summer as the outdoor area looks great - thank you so much for your hospitality we all enjoyed it thoroughly ❤️🙏

We went to Orchid for the first time whilst visiting York and picked it for our first evening meal. I am honestly so upset we don’t live nearby because the flavours were amazing. The prawns and duck pancakes were incredible - could even fool a meat eater, if that’s what you’re after. Mongolian Beef is generally one of my favourite dishes and it did not disappoint, including the garlic broccoli. The crisp shredded beef was less ‘meaty’ in feel, a sweeter flavour, with a delightful crunch. As an Asian person, this was one of the best Chinese fusion meals I’ve had in the U.K.

There are not enough superlatives to describe the Thai cuisine at the Optimist - it's a stunning explosion of taste and flavour. The service was terrific too and while the menu is perhaps a touch on the pricey side compared to other places in Northallerton, I would say it's worth paying that little bit more for food of this quality.
