Best Waterfront Restaurants in Long Key

La Trattoria was not totally new to us, having eaten at the one on Duval Street several times when visiting Key West. However the Oceanside experience was made even better by the beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean and the attentiveness of our server, James and his crew of assistants. The food was outstanding. The bruschetta was excellent. The Hogfish special served with shrimp was a palatable delight. I tasted my friends Veal Picatta and found it to be an equally tasty experience. He substituted the potato for angel hair in a light tomato sauce which he thoroughly enjoyed. My hogfish, which came with angel hair, was done in a very satisfying scampi sauce. It was a very positive experience and we look forward to returning.

We enjoyed eating dinner outside on the deck in February. Naz was an excellent server. The scallops were seared perfectly and served with a polenta cake. The Ahi Tuna was seared and served with jasmine rice, seaweed salad, soy sauce, and Wasabi peas. Very delicious!

Wonderful setting. We sat inside, although still enjoyed the views through the open doors and windows. We had been there about 5 years ago, and are local. We were much more pleased with the choices and quality of both food and service. We will return and again bring guests.

It was a great valentine date. Everything’s perfect.
