Best Waterfront Restaurants in Southport

This Prix Fixe Christmas lunch was one of the best meals my husband and I have EVER had. The Amuse roast chestnut latte with vanilla foam topping was unbelievably delicious. I will try to replicate it. The raw bar selection was next - so fresh, so delicious, especially the oysters. My husband ordered the ample NY steak, cooked as ordered, enough that we had left over for breakfast today. I had the crusted salmon in a cauliflower risotto. Finally the best English Christmas pudding ever, and I am English. Fruity, moist and the light glacé sauce completed our meal. Truly outstanding service from Oumo and all the staff who were efficient, timely and patient.

Food, ambiance, value were all great. The ONLY deduction in the star rating is that the service was a little “pressing.” It was a Monday, and there were some (but not many) other clients. My colleague and I had a lot on which to catch up … we wanted a leisurely time over drinks to talk. We had to (politely) ask the waiter to allow us the time before ordering food … twice; we did order drinks, however. The food was spectacular … we will most certainly come again.

We had an amazing time at Dockside! We reserved the Candy Cane Lane igloo for our annual pre-Christmas outing. The igloo was so fun, themed so well, supplied with heaters and even a speaker so we could play our own music. Our waitress was absolutely amazing. She was kind, fun and made sure we were all having a great time. The food and drinks were amazing. Thank you so much for a wonderful time!

We love the atmosphere of the smaller dining rooms at the Snapper. The views of the river and marina beyond the lawn make it very soothing. The food is always top notch.
