Welcome to The Elephant Restaurant The Elephant is a bright, informal restaurant which is situated near the beautiful Torbay harbour. It was the first restaurant in Torquay to be awarded a Michelin star which it maintains today. We aim to source all our ingredients locally and sustainably, many from our dedicated farm in Brixham. I take my mother here for her birthday every year for the tasting menu and we are never disappointed. The food is exceptional and the flavours are so carefully considered. The wines are beautiful and the knowledge the staff have about the food and wine is exemplary.

Absolutely awesome experience. On a horrible wet and windy evening we received a warm welcome. Spoilt for choice on the menu and specials board and all at very good prices. Means we have to visit again to try something different. Can recommend the scallops, mussels, and skate wing this time.

Celebrated my wife’s birthday here! Overall ambiance was exellent. The food was amazing! The staff was wonderful! The f&b staff who attended to us was very professional and served us with a smile. The wild mushroom Tagliatelle was the best I’ve ever had. The Salmon was cooked to perfection too! The live band outside was a bonus. Such a lovely experience spending birthdays here. Did not disappoint at any thing we are satisfied just like last year but this year’s menu was far more better than the previous one. Portion was good. We found the mouth watering calamari in paignton that we had last year on the sister’s hotel next door so we are very happy.
