The Ferry Inn is a serendipitous country public house with welcoming staff, character rooms, candlelight, open fires, real ales, popular foods and fantastic sunsets. A 17th Century former smugglers haunt-- this is a pretty little pub in a lovely marshland setting with tables and benches on the front terrace and in the back alongside the riverbank. Inside it's very easygoing and chatty. The main bar has hop-draped painted beams, a green dado, and stools against the bar where they serve a beer called Oxney Ale specially brewed for the pub by Westerham Brewery. I don’t think there is a better restaurant around here. The food is absolutely outstanding, and they are very accommodating if you need some variation! Very good food, wide choice, nicely served. Super clean environment, with a 10/10 for the Ladies toilets. Plenty of space inside, tables laid out with care, pretty well laid out space outside, although too cold today.

As we were visiting early on a Monday evening, the restaurant wasn't particularly busy, but we felt comfortable with a warm welcome. The food was excellent and the staff were friendly. We will definitely be returning.
