- DDeborahDallas - Fort Worth •18 reviews4.0Dined 3 days agoI went to The Mercury dinner with an out-of-town "foodie" guest . The Mercury is one of my favorite restaurants in Dallas. We were seated in the overflow room which was quiet. The food was fantastic (we split the fois gras and beet salad appetizers, I had the pepper-crusted tuna and he had the black cod). However, we were both disappointed in the service. At one point during the meal, someone reached down to snatch my dinner plate off the table when I was clearly still eating. When I stopped him, he asked, "Oh, are you still working on that?" which I consider to be an unprofessional way of asking someone whether or not they are "still enjoying their meal". More surprising was when the waiter brought the check to the table after we finished the main course without ever inquiring whether we were interested in dessert or anything else (e.g., coffee). This was not the quality of service I expect at The Mercury which has always been top notch in my experience.More infoThe MercuryPrice: Expensive• Global, International• Preston Hollow•4.8

Ambiance was nice but too crowded tables so close together you can have a conversation with people next to you and music was so loud you have to scream at each other to hear the person in front of you.More infoShinsei RestaurantPrice: Very Expensive• Asian• Park Cities•4.8
