Water Lane is a restaurant based within a working market garden in the High Weald of Kent. Guided by the seasons, our menu reflects its sense of place in the English countryside where we grow our own vegetables and use local suppliers. Our ever changing menu is simple but prepared with imagination and care by our Head Chef Jed Wrobel and his team.The Good Food Guide 2023 describes us as 'A contender for one of the most charming eateries in Kent, it's pretty much impossible to resist the lure of this rural restaurant tucked away in a delightful walled garden...' Having travelled to London in the past and enjoyed afternoon teas in various locations, we were very pleased that the newly opened Canterbury Ivy were offering Afternoon Tea. We cannot speak too highly of our whole experience. The three tiered selection, together with side plate of warm scones, all looked and tasted delicious - the savoury and sweet items, each with its own lovely flavours. The service was excellent - efficient, friendly and helpful, all of which created a very relaxing atmosphere. We will definitely be returning
