The Hop Vine formerly the ‘Royal Hotel’ was built in 1874 and was the main stopping off point for goods being transported to and from the old Turnpike road the A59. The Royal as it was known has served the community and travellers alike. To the rear of the building in our historic Cobbled Garden you will find our own brewery housed in the stables which were used for the horses and stage coaches as they passed through the village. From Ales to YPA’s, to Blonde beers we are a small producer using primary English hops brewing exclusively in house for The Hop Vine and our sister pub the Legh Arms.Our countryside sister the Legh Arms is our latest addition to the family and is situated in the pretty hamlet of Mere Brow. Incredible dinner at The Ivy Asia. Opted for the pre-theatre set menu for £40. Came with 4 courses each and we also chose two extras off the main menu. All of the food was amazing, generous portions and definitely worth the menu. The staff were all superb and so attentive, didn’t catch the main of our waitress but she was outstanding. The tables are quite close together and the music fairly loud so it was definitely noisy and hard to hear each other as we could hear the next tables conversations so bare that in mind. But the atmosphere was lovely otherwise. First time at The Ivy Asia and will definitely be returning.

I took my staff to this pub for a final lunch before the break and was delighted. Beer was good, food was excellent and the ambience just delightful. Highly recommend the ribs and steak.!!
