Established in 1987, Meson Don Felipe was the first Tapas Bar in London and we are still an independent, family-run business. You can expect great tapas and some amazing, well-priced Spanish wines, served in an authentic, relaxed atmosphere. We have an outside terrace with heaters and umbrellas but of course, we can't promise the weather! Blacklock is a modern version of the Great British chophouse. Set in an old electricity substation on the site of London"s oldest meat market. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our real charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails that give back and wine on tap in our atmospheric subterranean chop mecca.     This is positioned as Japanese street food, so a small crowded space is in keeping with what one should expect. I've been four times now, and I've enjoyed every dish. Last night we sat directly across from the chef, so we saw the food being prepared. It's done with care and precision. I really enjoy this place. The service was efficient, so we had no trouble making it to the IMAX in time for a film after dinner.

    Fabulous location, service and food. The restaurant gave us an earlier booking after I rang (following our online booking). The dining room has beautiful lighting and views across the Thames. We were served by 4 attentive staff (drinks, food, order and a visit by the maître dee who were all professional, welcoming and efficient. Our first mains dish was served to our plates at our table by a staff member. Steaming hot soup lids were removed by staff on serving. Beautiful table service but not fussy.
