Best Healthy Restaurants in Windsor

Delightful lunch on Jan 2. Hostess helpful in suggesting we eat on the well-heated patio where it was quieter than inside. All food was prepared to order. The paella special was mostly seafood with a bit of chorizo and was delicious. Suggest ordering it first thing when you arrive since it takes 30-45 minutes to prepare. Lettuce on the salad was fresh and crisp, dressed perfectly and had a generous amount of blue cheese plus sliced apples and the Spanish almonds. Our other tapas choice was bacon wrapped dates--delectable and sweet--and could actually serve as a dessert. The generous glass of white sangria was tangy, satisfying and beautifully served with slices of orange and grapefruit. Would definitely go again.

We'll be sad to see this place go! We asked why the limited Menu today, and only as of 11am and the servers told us they're closing River Vine down in 2 weeks after the actual John Ash restaurant is done with construction updates. The full menu supposedly will return then, and I sure hope there will be a Patio again too - walked by the back and it looks like there will be. River Vine has awesome servers and upon asking they said they're safe, will be transferring to JA.

This is our Third time dining here twice during the holiday season and it hasn't disappointed at all... Great Decorations, cocktails and food. A wonderful place to take friends and family for something different. Will come back during the summer to be able to sit outside and see how loud it is then.

My sister and I originally planned to dine elsewhere, but we are so happy we ended up at Jackson’s instead! The meal was superb and the service was exceptional! We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience and can’t wait to return and try other menu items. This time we had the chicken piccata meatballs, squash shareable, kale salad, prosciutto and pear pizza, and beignets. All were delicious!

I always eat out on Christmas Day as I am usually a single diner. I normally don't go in for buffets, but this Cristmas there were very few options, so I decided to take a chance here. The first thing I noticed is that the restaurant was much nicer than was pictured in their post. I've been a cook and know that hot buffets are not easy to maintain without overcooking the food. I was pleasantly surprised; everything was perfect. There was a good selection of food and I was happy with them. The charred Brussles sprouts were especially good and the roast beef was RARE, like I like it. Great service. I am VERY HAPPY with my Christmas Day dinner.
