Best Historic Restaurants in Burtonsville

Cruz was our server, and we benefited from her extensive knowledge about the menu and food in general. She’s very pleasant, and she’s a foodie. It’s always nice to have a server who’s a foodie—not one who sheepishly says things, like “Oh, I don’t like seafood,” “I just eat fries,” or “I haven’t really tried anything here, but everyone orders the ___.” She recommended the mushroom ricotta dish, which we absolutely loved. It has a hint of sweetness that surprisingly ties together the mushrooms (noticed prized enoki in the mix), ricotta, and pine nuts. We used it to dip in our Margherita pizza… oh my gawd… the pizza is WONDERFUL. I am not a fan of most pizza because the sauce is never sweet enough, or the dough is soggy, or there’s too much cheese, or whatever. But, I ate half the pizza. The dough has the perfect chew and saltiness, the sauce is perfectly seasoned, and the cheese was just right. It’s up there with Andy’s to me. People need to keep me away from this pizza. Rudy’s was amazing! The ambiance was beautiful, the staff was outstanding and the food was incredible. I cannot recommend Rudy’s enough. Do yourself a favor and go!

very lovely place. have been here couple times and last night was again a wonderful evening. very accommodating staff who paid attention to our notes that we needed room to accommodate a baby carriage. extremely fast bread service and lots of specials to choose from in addition to good solid menu. parking is a little limited on a crowded night but we were able to snag one of the last few spots. will definitely be visiting again.
