Dry aged Steak offerings including 32 days dry aged Porterhouse (28oz), 32 days aged Tomahawk Ribeye (40oz) that will taste decidedly beefy, much like a rare roast beef, while also taking on subtler hints of other delicious flavors. Since 1746, the building that houses this tavern has played a part in the establishment of our nation; first as a respite for stagecoach travelers expanding westward and later as a covert rendezvous point for George Washington, Marquis de Lafayette, and other leaders of the American revolution. It is believed that during the infamous winter of 1777–1778 at Valley Forge, a major figure in the Continental Army, master military mind Friedrich Von Steuben, designated the tavern as a secret black powder munitions stash for Continental Army couriers. All the while, the tavern continued to provide food, shelter and cheer to the hungry, weary soldiers fighting for their independence. Today, we honor our historic tavern’s tradition with a mission to raise the spirits of our guests.     Everything was very good. Waitress could have been more attentive. Was craving their chicken salad but it wasn’t on the buffet today due to them having their winter menu out. The chicken salad is so good, it should be a staple for the buffet.

    We had a great experience. We went fir our anniversary, first time there. We had Tristan as a server & he was on the ball. The filet mignon eggrolls were probably our favorite. The steak was cooked perfectly & the mustard sauce was no joke. The lobster bisque was out of this world (no skimping on the lobster) For entrees, we had the Salmon Imperial & Lobster Pasta. There were no leftovers to be seen. I mean, it probably looked like we licked the plates clean (we didn't, but still).

    This was our second time at La Provence and while the first time was excellent, this was more so. The food made me shut my eyes and take pleasure in the flavors passing my tongue. The interaction with waitstaff was very enjoyable and the amount of time I could enjoy a quiet undisturbed conversation with my wife was a joy. All of this was amazing to experience on Valentine’s Day!
