Best Historic Restaurants in East Meadow

We celebrated our anniversary at Davenport Press. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the host and immediately sat at our requested table by the cozy fireplace in the main room adorned with antiques and other fascinating memorabilia from the era of the structure's construction. Delicious fresh bread arrived immediately and set the tone for what was a memorable leisurely meal. The pork chop my partner ordered was meaty and deliciously prepared and seasoned. The Chicken Shitake I had was flavorful with the right amount of spice added to the succulent sauce. We didn't order dessert but we were given complimentary glasses of champagne and a beautifully illuminated slice of tiramisu to cap off our delightful afternoon. We wholeheartedly recommend this fine establishment to anyone looking for a taste of old warm charm, and hearty continental cuisine.

Food was excellent I highly recommend the chef is amazing

Cesar and his team made our meal more enjoyable with their conviviality and attention. The food and drink are always good but the service tonight was fantastic. This “extra “ from Cesar made the meal.

The restaurant is in a lovely setting at the historic Oheka Castle. Rustic brick walls that frame an array of huge windows. From entering the castle to entering the restaurant that serves both lunch and dinner, you are cast back in time to an era gone by. The venue is a gem. The kitchen provides an array of tasty offerings and the bar is a comfortable place to enjoy cocktails. Enjoy your repast in an unhurried, lovely setting. OHK is a GEM in Huntington!

The food is carefully made and hearty at the same time. The ambience is wonderful for anyone who truly loves the USA.
