The Catherine Wheel is a 17th century country pub in the historic conservation village of Marshfield. It’s just eight miles north of the Roman city of Bath (a World Heritage site) and 13 miles from the port of Bristol, named European Green Capital 2015.Marshfield stands close to where three county borders meet at Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Somerset. This is at the southern gateway to the rolling Cotswold hills which is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.Our chefs are highly regarded for creating wholesome, freshly-prepared dishes, using local produce as much as possible.

Badminton and Gatcombe horse trials are both within easy reach. We are 24 miles from the Roman spa town of Bath and from the city of Bristol, both with their many attractions. Cheltenham races are 34 miles from the Cat.Apart from these attractions, we are in the heart of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) with many wonderful walks direct from our front door.
