- OTOpenTable DinerVIPSan Diego •2 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoA must for sure! My husband is gluten intolerant and they answered all our questions and gave us creative options. Everything was incredibly tasty. Service was impeccable. We had the hand made duck raft pasta and the lamb loin as well as house whipped ricotta. Everything was incredible. I wish we had room for dessert!More infoGeistPrice: Expensive• American• Germantown•4.8

- SStephanieCalifornia Central Coast •4 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWe went to Star Rover Sound last night and it was amazing!!! I knew that the Optimist rolls were part of the equation, so even if everything else was awful, I’d still be happy. I had no need to worry. All the food was fantastic. Starting with smoked wings was such a good move- perfectly crispy and flavored with a brilliant addition of jalapeño ranch. A little kick, but oh so flavorful. Each of us chose the ribeye. With your meal it’s a set menu: salad, rolls, French fries, onion rings and a protein. I love how simple the menu is! The salad was like a deconstructed wedge and so flavorful. Refreshing and delicious. The rolls, of course were perfection. The steak was perfectly seasoned, good- not great. I don’t think it’s because of anything the chef did, but because it’s a 10 oz portion and I prefer ribeye in a thicker cut. That being said- for the piece of meat it was cooked wonderfully, I just prefer a thick cut ribeye. Next time I will choose another protein because it’s personal preference, not a chef mistake. On to the fries- GAH!!! Pillowy interior, impossibly crispy exterior. So so so so good! And the onions rings were equally amazing. Because this restaurant is part of the Optimist team, we had access to their superb seafood (there was a choice to add shrimp or a lobster tail). We chose to split an order of the grilled shrimp. YUM. My Dinner companion got a margarita and loved it. I don’t drink, so I got a mocktail. The bar program is so great that they only asked for my taste preferences and devolved a drink for me. The bartender made me a mocktail with celery juice and sparkling something. It was refreshing, light and complex. And actual perfect pairing with the wings! We got both soft serves for dessert- the frosty + fries, the soft serve with crumble. Both extremely satisfying and nice end to a great meal. I cannot say enough good things!More infoStar RoverPrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Germantown•4.7
