We joined 2 locals for dinner last night. It was our first time to eat there. We ‘re visiting from Austin, Texas, and all I can say is that Cafe Degas is one more reason to come back to New Orleans. The atmosphere is lovely, quirky and warm. Our server, Kenzie, was so friendly and welcoming, and she used to live in Austin, but the highlight was the food! The escargot was fantastic, the fried oysters were some of the best we’ve ever had, 3 of us couldn’t resist the swordfish special, which was divine, with perfectly cooked asparagus and haricot vert, but our friend ordered the lamb lollipops, which she said were exquisite. We feel badly that we closed the place, but the staff was so kind when we left. It was a perfect evening. We’ll have to eat here every time we visit the City. Our girlfriend who introduced us to this restaurant said she has such fond memories of Cafe Degas because she and her grandmother ate here often. It was a favorite of her grandmother. Now it’s a favorite of ours.

Can not say enough good things about our dinner at Vessel. My wife and I went while on vacation for Thanksgiving Dinner. They had a three course fixed menu. Every course was Delicious. The pork was Phenomenal. Cooked to Perfection and was so tender. The drinks were strong and flavorful. Our server Ben was Fantastic. He was working Thanksgiving, yet was cheerful, prompt, and a pleasure to talk to. For being busy it was not overly loud and had a Great selection of background music playing. Last but not least, the restaurant was stunning! The Old Church was so Beautiful and the Bar was so neatly designed. Will absolutely be back when in town

Excellent food that celebrates the Creole/Southern culture in a comfortable, elegant environment that's located in the heart of the French Quarter. We were there for Thanksgiving and our entrees did not disappoint. I had the pork chop and my husband had the traditional turkey. Both delicious. Service was top notch, including the manager who came and checked that everything was good with us.

The restaurant itself is so cute! Everyone was super friendly, they had good music playing and most of the customers were vibing. We were there on a Monday night so there were half priced apps and drinks. Food came out quickly and was so delicious, we tried the chicken cracklins, sweet chili wings, and drinks to start. We’re from out of town so we had red beans and rice and a po boy for mains which also came out fast and tasted great. Sweet potato beignets are a MUST!
