- VVictorTampa / Central Florida West •3 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoOverall the experience was enjoyable. The service from the head waiter and assistant waiter was top tier. The young lady running food was seemingly having a grumpy evening. The food was delicious. The shrimp cold appetizer and red snapper entree were well prepared and the presentation was perfect. The black and blue gnocchi was good but over shadowed by the cold shrimp appetizer. The triple tail was heavily seasoned borderline salty and was an odd pairing of textures and flavors with the oysters but all the individual parts were well prepared and the seasoning could be diluted using the warm coconut soup. Dessert was ok. Life is about experiences, this was one we’re glad we could enjoy. Not perfect in its entirety but a solid 4.7/5More infoRestaurant AugustPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary French / American• Central Business District•4.9
- TTonyFresno / San Joaquin Valley •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoThis is our second year celebrating the holidays with the good people of Jack Rose. In all our travels so far in retirement, the staff, the food, the absolute vibe of Jack Rose is worth every minute of travel time it takes to get from central California to New Orleans. We were fortunate enough to experience the Christmas menu in 2023 and it far exceeded our expectations. This year we had the pleasure of another perfectly prepared filet and the most delicious sides. Our bread pudding for dessert was perfection on a plate. Our new tradition will be returning to Jack Rose again next Christmas, but we will be thinking of everyone and everything Jack Rose until then.More infoJack Rose - New OrleansPrice: Moderate• Creole• Lower Garden District•4.8
- JJeffryVIPNew Orleans / Louisiana •77 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoIt is not often that I rate a venue five-star, but this one deserves it. It was our first visit and not our last. Even the valet was personable and with complementary parking what was there not to like. Their attention to detail was never more evident as we watched our server at another table polishing the flatware. We had ordered the aged prime rib and it was the best prime rib we had ever tasted. (Yes, medium rare!). It was accompanied by little au jus candle fed cups that kept the jus warm. (How's that for detail?) The onion rings were crispy (a bit salty but fine.) and delicious. We did suggest other vegetable choice besides the menu listed broccoli and brussel sprouts, such as a carrot or green bean dish. Had they been on the menu we would have ordered. Finally, though we are not big dessert eaters (it was Xmas eve, give us a break!) we ordered the lemon merangue pie and it only enhanced our great rating of this place. BTW, we made our vegetable suggestions to management and it was greeted with interest. Next time we'll try the steak!More infoBon Ton Prime RibPrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Central Business District•4.7
- DDanielVIPNew Orleans / Louisiana •42 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWhy is this place so good? Because it's beautiful, the food comes out hot and fast (but not too fast!) and is uniformly delicious, the prices are right, and I can state without equivocation that there is no better service in the city. No better service in the city? Our waiter yesterday was so on top of things, courteous, attentive, present, etc. – I cannot complement him, his assistants, and the restaurant enough!More infoSuperior SeafoodPrice: Expensive• Seafood• Uptown•4.8
- AAvoyNew Orleans / Louisiana •1 review5.0Dined 5 days ago- shrimp and grits very well seasoned - duck confit good balance of sweet savory - ambiance lovely, but I read somewhere there was jazz during lunch and it seemed very muted, but maybe that’s just me - service was exceptional! our server Chris kept checking in on us and went above and beyond.More infoAtchafalaya RestaurantPrice: Expensive• Creole / Cajun / Southern• Garden District•4.9
