- MMichaelNew York City •6 reviews5.0Dined todayI saw lots of bad reviews and was nervous, but if you're prepared to wait an extra 30-45 minutes from your reservation time, it's worth it. I'd never been here, but I think the delays are from the holiday rush. We waited about 40 minutes from our reservation time to get a table. But this gave us the time to walk around the winter village which is beautiful. So if you don't have to be seated immediately, I'd highly recommend it. Also, the food takes time, too. I don't remember exactly how long to get our plates, but longer than usual. It's expensive, but you're paying for the ambience, the experience and the food is pretty good. Not the best food in the world, but we really enjoyed it. And the Christmas Carolers sung beautiful Christmas songs all around the restaurant. So be ready to break the bank, wait a little longer, but get a unique holiday experience while doing so.More infoMilleridge InnPrice: Expensive• American• Jericho•3.9

- JjaneNew York City •6 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoWe had a lovely lunch at the Thayer. The fried chicken was expertly seasoned and the best I've had. Crunchy where it should be and juicy and tender inside. The Cole slaw was just right. Great snap to the fries. The other dish was the Chicken Salad club. Hit every mark and totally enjoyed it. We also ordered the soup of the day and the only mishap was it was brought out not piping hot. A quick word to the waiter and the soup was retuned and the temperature was corrected. In fairness, most restaurants never serve piping hot soup, which they should. We had a view of the Hudson and the ambiance of the hotel and restaurant is old world elegance. The price was very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. We will definitely go back. It would be a fabulous place to watch the autumn colors. Next time.More infoMacArthur's Restaurant at The Historic Thayer HotelPrice: Very Expensive• American• West Point•3.7
