- VVICPhiladelphia County •8 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWhile this was our first visit to White Dog for Brunch, it certainly won't be our last! As was the case with the former establishment, Vickers Tavern, from the moment you walk in, you're welcomed into a warm, comfortable, colorful atmosphere that tells you you're glad you're here. And if you're a dog lover, just look around and try to hold back the "Aws" and smiles. While sipping a crisp Prosecco Mimosa, don't miss the Whipped Ricotta shareable which could easily serve as a yummy, fruity dessert. Then enjoy a generous serving of the creamiest Deviled Eggs. You won't want to leave anything behind, but save room for perfectly poached Eggs Benedict under a zesty Hollandaise, accompanied by savory, freshly made home fries. If all this is any sign, you'll be tempted to peek at the dessert menu. But we opted to sit back, exhale and top the afternoon off with a bold Espresso. Service at White Dog is impeccable, efficient, well orchestrated, knowledgeable and extremely courteous. We were fortunate to have one of the best, so a special shout out to "Tyler A."! Thank you, Tyler, for contributing so much to our enjoyment. Finally, we were not seated in the warm, plush, more subdued room we prefer, and had to compete with the (not-so-quiet) chatter of some younger diners occupied with their selfies and social media sites. Keep it in mind when booking your table. A great way to spend a Sunday afternoon!More infoWhite Dog Cafe - Chester SpringsPrice: Moderate• American• Exton•4.7

From the very nice hostesses to the fantastic bartender to the server - not to mention the food - was above expectations. We had a pre-dinner drink at the bar which was lovely. And Oh My! the whiskey and bourbon selection was amazing. The food was spectacular - fried green tomatoes and deviled eggs, chix and waffles for him and shrimp and grits for me - all w/o fault. Well, having lived in the South for 25 years before relocating, I'd of loved to see pimento cheese w/the tomatoes. And banana pudding to go - wow! that made for a tasty breakfast.More infoBloom Southern KitchenPrice: Moderate• Regional American (Southern)• Chester Springs•4.6

French fries had perfect amount of salt and they were hot. My friends had the pork sandwich which was stacked high and the chicken sandwich which was good as well. Service was great too.More infoBlack Powder TavernPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Wayne•4.6
- SStephen AVIPNew York City •59 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoMy wife and I were finally able to enjoy my Christmas gift of dinner at this favorite. As usual, the food and service was top flight. Our waiter did not rush us. The branzino was outstanding. My snapper soup was terriffic. The Roasted Lamb Shoulder Ragout was other-worldly. We were seated in the front porch next to a window and it was very cold outside and some of that cold seeped through the windows such that my wife needed her overcoat on her shoulders. Otherwise, the evening was perfect.More infoGeneral WarrenPrice: Expensive• American• Malvern•4.7
