The ambience was wonderful and the staff (Donna) so pleasant and attentive !!! Quite busy on a Friday afternoon, including a little girls birthday/tea party, which only added to the fun !! We look forward to our next tea party !!More infoThe Vintage Tea & Cake Company - LexingtonPrice: Moderate• Afternoon Tea• Lexington•4.7
- EEllenGreater Boston •39 reviews5.0Dined on Feb 18, 2025We had a terrific experience at Margeaux. We decided to celebrate Valentine's Day a few days after the 14th, and the team at Margeaux made it feel special. We were seated at a lovely table, and our server, Luan, was outstanding. He recommended a number of choices and all were delicious. He was personable and extremely attentive to our needs. We appreciated a somewhat unusual menu. Items were clustered as tasting trios, although you could mix and match as desired. You could also decide whether to get a tasting menu size or a full portion of each dish. We decided to start with onion soup and a salad, and then to have the vegetarian tasting menu. Each dish was excellent - a risotto, an eggplant caponata, and a cauliflower steak. All were unusual and tasty. We splurged on a banana bread pudding dessert. Thanks for a great evening!More infoMargeaux Supper ParlorPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Cambridge•4.4
- MMargaretGreater Boston •6 reviews5.0Dined on Feb 15, 2025Lovely setting, perfect snowy night vibe. Comfortable dining and enjoying the company of others. From Franklin, as the Maitre d' to Maria our waitress, we were greeted and served with such warmth and professionalism. The menu is splendid and diverse. The food cooked to perfection. Might hang out at the bar sometime. Cozy and welcoming!More infoBeacon Hill HotelPrice: Moderate• European• Beacon Hill•4.5
- YYu-fanGreater Boston •9 reviews4.0Dined on Feb 15, 2025To be fair, we went on Valentine’s Day, so some chaos was expected. Waiting 30 minutes for a reserved table wasn’t too bad, especially since others waited longer. The food was okay—nothing impressive, but decent. One annoying thing was that they ran out of meatballs and brought us arancini without checking first. We would’ve liked the option to choose something else. Funny enough, about 20 minutes later, a couple who arrived after us got meatballs—maybe they just needed more time to make them. Also, they mistakenly charged us for meatballs instead of arancini, which I didn’t catch. It was only a $1 difference and it’s totally on me (I should check before I leave,) but still, always double-check your bill, especially if they switch an item for you.More infoPremiere on BroadwayPrice: Moderate• Italian• Somerville•3.9
