Awarded ‘The Best Pub or Bar in Coventry & Warwickshire 2022’ at the prestigious Foodie Awards, The Coach House is a must-visit pub! Located in the heart of Stratford-Upon-Avon, on Rother Street, it boasts over 475-years of history between its characterful walls. Recently refurbished, the welcoming décor pays tribute to Stratford’s most famous former resident, William Shakespeare as well as incorporating a nod to its owners, the historic Brewing House, Davenports which was established in 1829. You can expect great ales, whilst the attractive central bar is well-stocked with popular spirits and boasts a super cocktail menu which are freshly prepared to order. Choose to dine in the comfy snug or around one of the tables indoors, there’s also a wonderful garden terrace with heaters to the rear, and alfresco tables on warmer days to the front of the pub. The food menu never fails to impress, with a focus on quality, locally sourced ingredients.

Located in the historic town of Kenilworth in the heart of Warwickshire, The Cross is an award-winning pub that combines Michelin-starred food with a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere.Under the guidance of chef-director Adam Bennett, we have held a Michelin star for over nine years and are proud to boast three AA Rosettes. We received a Good Food Award Gold Seal in 2021.The Cross is housed in a Grade II listed 19th-century inn and has been sympathetically restored to retain its heritage alongside contemporary touches that make it a fabulous place to enjoy great food, a casual atmosphere and informal but attentive service. Our main dining room is a former school room that leads to a cosy and welcoming bar - previously a butcher's shop.Another dining room overlooks the pass, where guests can glimpse the team of chefs busily at work.We have a green and spacious pub garden, perfect for aperitifs, cocktails and post-dinner drinks.

Nestled in the picturesque village of Lowonsford, on the banks of the Stratford Canal, between winding country roads that used to be part of the Forest of Arden, The Fleur De Lys is the very best kind of country pub. Packed full of quaint charm and quirky corners beneath its C16th wooden beams, The Fleur is a cosy haven in the winter and an extensive paradise in the summer. There are so many tiny wonders packed into this historic building that you will always find something new to fall in love with when you visit. Our garden boasts an acre of land to run riot on and a low level wooden children’s playground, alongside over 30 tables and benches. We’re ideally situated for walkers and ramblers who wish to explore the canal towpath or a variety of local walks. If you’re intending on zooming through this part of Warwickshire on a bicycle, The Fleur makes an excellent intermediary watering hole to fortify you for the ride ahead.

Booked as a Christmas treat as a romantic evening and the Cross delivered, absolutely on point with everything. The location is unassuming from the outside but is beautiful once you enter. Plenty of space for pre drinks before you enter the dining room. Whilst the dining room is intimate, you aren’t sat too close to other tables which tends to leave you feeling awkward in some fine dining establishments. The service was excellent with fantastic attention to detail. Before we ordered from the three course A là Carte, the Amuse-bouche and bread shared by the kitchen were both an absolute treat. The December menu that we were lucky enough to select from was outstanding. The duck egg for starters was a particular treat and we both had the fillet of beef cooked over coals - all elements outstanding with particular praise to the tartlet of beef check, perfectly executed. The deserts, we choose the Hazelnut praline Soufflé and the black forest gateau. I loved both but note the gateau packs a punch with its flavour, again something that was fantastic for me but could be a little too sweet/sour for others. Overall, you can’t go wrong with the Cross which I believe, was excellent value for money.
