- HHeatherNew York City •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoBaldanza at the Schoolhouse is the best! It's head and shoulders above any other restaurant in lower Fairfield County. The food is perfectly cooked and presented every time. The attention to detail is meticulous. My water glass was refilled quickly. The staff is courteous, friendly, and efficient. Last night I had the veal parmesan with homemade pasta, it was outstanding. I always share the fritto misto with fried calamari and shrimp with friends. I had the homemade carrot cake for dessert. It was moist and dense with the right amount of cream cheese frosting and dollops of homemade whipped cream om the side. My only wish is that the dining room were quieter, it's difficult to have a conversation right across the table. My vote is 4.9 stars. I love the Schoolhouse!More infoBaldanza at the SchoolhousePrice: Expensive• American• Wilton•4.9
- MMaryellenNew York City •2 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoVery welcoming , excellent service . Fun , delicious , strong drinks. The menu has a nice variety , if it's your cup of tea the bone marrow appetizer was excellent, as well as the blue crab nachos. We all had beef , and each cut was cooked to perfection with the sauce to the side . A really nice dinner celebrating a birthday , desserts were solid too , banana foster is memorable.More infoWashington PrimePrice: Expensive• American• South Norwalk•4.8

The boeuf bourguignon was tender and full of flavor. And the setting never disappoints!More infoRoger Sherman InnPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• New Canaan•4.6
- DDianeNew York City •3 reviews4.0Dined on Dec 15, 2024Overall we enjoyed and appreciated the music , the creativity of the artwork and seating arrangements . It is definitely a place to consider going for a date night. The servers and owners were extremely welcoming and eager to assist, even with the bottle of wine to consider. The food is average for bar food .More infoHatter Piano BarPrice: Moderate• American• Norwalk•4.7
- JjaneNew York City •6 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 12, 2024We had a lovely lunch at the Thayer. The fried chicken was expertly seasoned and the best I've had. Crunchy where it should be and juicy and tender inside. The Cole slaw was just right. Great snap to the fries. The other dish was the Chicken Salad club. Hit every mark and totally enjoyed it. We also ordered the soup of the day and the only mishap was it was brought out not piping hot. A quick word to the waiter and the soup was retuned and the temperature was corrected. In fairness, most restaurants never serve piping hot soup, which they should. We had a view of the Hudson and the ambiance of the hotel and restaurant is old world elegance. The price was very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. We will definitely go back. It would be a fabulous place to watch the autumn colors. Next time.More infoMacArthur's Restaurant at The Historic Thayer HotelPrice: Very Expensive• American• West Point•3.7
