In the Royal Lancaster Hotel, the Nipa Thai restaurant has been named after the original Nipa Restaurant in the Landmark Hotel in Bangkok. Lots of teak panelling, traditional Thai furnishings and artefacts lend an authentic air. All the staff dressed in traditional Thai costume are from Thailand - even the lady chefs. This authentic Thai restaurant is one of the first 15 recipients of the 'Thai Select' award - this award has been described as being the first ever Michelin-style award for Thai restaurants proven to be performing to the highest standards of quality and cuisine, and is awarded by the Thai Government. We think this award sums up Nipa Thai rather nicely. What's cooking?     Definitely worth seeking this one out. As per other reviews, a nice chilled vibe with friendly and accommodating staff. The burger is really good and done perfectly - but equally this place serves vegans and vegetarians as well. It would take a lot not to keep the casual diner happy such is the selection of tasty things on offer. For anyone reading this review and looking for somewhere to eat this evening, go for it as you will not disappointed.
