One of us is gluten intolerant & sometimes the menu can be a little restricted but I was pleasantly surprised to find there as plenty of choice. The venue is light & airy with plenty of space between tables. The staff were very polite & well trained & the food, which was delicious, was served on time. We’ll definitely be back.

One of our favourite go to restaurants. Food was great as always although noticed there are a few supplements to be paid now on certain foods. Eg an additional £20 for fillet steak (it was delicious), an extra £10 for halibut, (it was nice but not worth the extra in my opinion). Only other point was we were told they needed the table back at a certain time which we had no problem with but we had pre booked in advance and we didn’t delay anything, the service was slower than usual but it was busy. We had literally just finished when advised the table was required now. All in all a lovely meal with friends as always. Highly recommend.

Without a doubt this restaurant in this underated village of Northumberland should NOT be underrated. The Courtyard is a credit to the Community of Pegswood. We were there for the Valentine’s Day special menu in 2025. The friendliness and welcome of the staff matched the theme of love and care of the day. The food was great quality and very well presented. However, before rushing to 5 star across the board, there is a long enduring element that should be addressed. Having been there a number of times now since it was opened, the service has tended to be slow at busy times. They were still amazing, a credit to the establishment. A great place to eat with amazing staff and quality customer service

Since its relaunch and service of only tasting menus, Six has become one of our very favourite restaurants - which is slightly odd because we usually avoid tasting menus. We had the nine-course menu, the alternatives being a six-course and vegetarian six and nine-course alternatives. One great thing is that, not being oyster-lovers, one can swap out a course that doesn't appeal for a veggie alternative. Service is attentive but without crowding, and friendly rather than stiffly formal, which we like. Every course was a masterpiece in taste and presentation, and we've eaten worse in Michelin-starred places at twice the price. Wine starts at under £30 a bottle, but you can push the boat out and pay far more. So not a cheap place but very good value, and with excellent waiting staff.
