A family friendly, modern Greek restaurant. Catering to dietaries, large bookings or private functions, as well as takeaway options. It is so natural for the Greeks to be drawn to hospitality roles that there is even a word with deep historical significance to describe it. ‘philoxenia’ ~ translating to ‘friend of a stranger’ (philos: friend and xenia: stranger). It is accepted as synonymous with hospitality, a willingness to share hospitality generously, and is even suggested to be part of the Greek DNA. When you dine at KALA you are no longer a stranger. We Italians like to say that a gesture is worth 1000 words. When our hands aren’t in use, creating or experimenting with canvas and brushes, marble and chisel, pan and pot, we mould air with our fingers. CHE VUOI which translates to ‘what do you want’ is often an involuntary gesture, something we can’t help doing… Like sharing our love for Nonna’s rustic family dishes, fresh homemade pastas, artisan wood fire pizzas and great wines in a simple and relaxed atmosphere.     The staff are very friendly and attentive which was great! We went on Thursday - Steak night which was really good value with chips & side salad & tasty. Delicious banana fritters & icecream for dessert but $15 was on the pricey side for a pub meal. Overall an enjoyable place to eat , but good idea to book as it gets busy .

    Have to be my favourite pub . The specials are the best value for money . Steak all day and into the night on a Tuesday and roast for $24 on a Sunday . Excellent service from our waiter “Darius” so professional and knowledgeable . I like to dine here every couple of months as I live on the Mornington Peninsula and this would have to be the best pub meal ever . So Thankyou I will be back .

    The evenings at Lamaro’s are always fantastic. Our visitors marvel that this is achieved at our “local”.

    I had the Tuna Steak, Wow, “That wasn’t fish, it was GOOD!” Who knew I liked Spritzer? And the cheese cake was to die for! Front of house, Bar Staff, Chef, Wait Staff…… a bunch of Hospitality Rockstars‼️ Can’t wait to go back. Thanks everyone for the great experience. Stand up and take a Bow!
