Asked for a table way in the back to get away from the noisy bar area— and got one! Excellent waiter. Menu extensive. My wife had the amazing mussel entree. Generous sized servings. Great food. Will be back many times!

My 5 year old wanted to dine somewhere "fancy" for her birthday and I wanted seafood. So I decided on this establishment to make us both happy. What a surprise to see when I arrived 30mins early and my table was ready and decored for the occasion. The place was packed too. The server was so attentive and indulged my 5 year old with her requests. The food was delicious and perfectly cooked. Will more than likely return for a date night.

This restaurant is absolutely incredible. The service and food are impeccable. Our steak was cooked perfectly (rare). Everything was excellently seasoned. The sides are phenomenal and are definitely for sharing. The small mashed potatoes is more than enough for 2 people. The ambience is somehow cozy yet elegant, and a great location for a date, a family get together, friends having dinner- whatever!

We went for the buy one get one fillet mignon. The steaks were excellent. Our waiter john was a delight. The strawberry sangria was sweet and packed a punch in the best possible way. We also had the maple bacon brussel sprouts and the garlic mashed potatoes, both were excellent. We will be going back.

We ended Karen and Al’s stay in Providence with a delightful dinner at Cafe Nuovo. The sophisticated elegance of the restaurant combined with the flavorful menu selections made this choice perfect for a President’s Day celebration. The ambiance was upscale with soulful music playing in the background that made conversation easy and enjoyable. As we made our dinner selections, the waitstaff was accommodating to our desires whether it be for a dish that was “off menu” or substituting certain dishes with others. Each appetizer, entree and dessert was carefully prepared and presented with care. The Dover sole, which was prepared table side, was fresh, flaky and had a sauce that complimented its tender taste perfectly. My escargot had the well balanced flavors of garlic and oil which allowed me to soak the toast points while savoring the tenderest of snails in each mouthful. The burrata salads with strawberries were not only delicious but pleasing to the eye as well. It was a pleasure to visit this restaurant again and be able to have a dining experience that successfully checked all of our dining objectives.
