Best Neighbourhood Gem Restaurants in Columbia

First time here. Ordered the chicken pot pie. It looked exactly as the photo on the website (sometimes the food doesn't come close to the pictures on the website). It tasted very good and the crust was just right. My friends had the ahi tuna salad which they loved. One also had the key lime pie which they also loved. They ate every morsel. And French press coffee right at the table. The food was reasonably priced and the menu was not overwhelming with too much choice. I rated my food a 4 out of 5. I reserve a 5 for food that blows me away. I.e. while chicken pot pie is not usually the kind of food that would blow you away, was it the best chicken pot pie I had ever had? No, but it is second best. It was meaty, the crust was perfect. What set this restaurant apart is the service. It was excellent from beginning (with the hostess) to the end (with our waiter). I was the first to arrive of my party and they seated me right away where I wanted to sit and started taking my order. I decided to order an appetizer such that when my friends arrived, there would be something for them to eat when they arrived. No problem. None of this we can't seat you until your entire party arrives. We never wanted for anything. There was live jazz music and a fireplace (which we were lucky enough to be seated close to) which made for a wonderful ambiance. All in all, a great place to eat. I would return.

Rudy’s was amazing! The ambiance was beautiful, the staff was outstanding and the food was incredible. I cannot recommend Rudy’s enough. Do yourself a favor and go!

I’ve been meeting my friend for brunch at The Turn House for a few years now, and it’s always been a lovely experience (especially the cocktails… the food is great also😉 ;) This time, it was my best friend’s birthday and Nadya, our wonderful server, made it special. I highly recommend dining at The Turn House.

Consistently wonderful. We came here on our first date. He proposed here. We took both sides of our family here to meet before our wedding. Have spent many a New Years and anniversary there…Great food. Great service. Warm and friendly people every time!

Our server was awesome. She was attentive and very nice. The home made soup was delicious! We had chili and cream of mushroom soup. The atmosphere was warm and the background live music excellent!
